Amsterdam

Well, I have finally started to do some reading on Amsterdam. It has a history of 900 years. Some of the highlights include:

  • Canals and Waterways - there is a ring of three 17th -century canals known as Grachtengordel

  • Rijksmuseum - National Museum

  • Van Gogh Museum

  • Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder - 17th-century house in the red light district with a rare example of a perfectly preserved hidden Catholic Church

  • Berginhof - a haven of peace - Amsterdam's oldest house is here

Lots to learn!

International Neurological Physical Therapy Association continues to work at meeting the requirements for subgroup acceptance into WCPT.

More soon.

Welcome to WCPT Adventures

I thought it would be fun to create a blog to share my adventures to and at WCPT. I first would like to thank the Grey Bruce OPA for their support. Check out the link to WCPT and let me know if there are sessions you would like me to attend. I can not promise but I will try. On Tuesday, June 21, I will be facilitating the neuroscience networking session. The topics include:
  • Impact of knowledge translation research on neurological physical therapy practice
  • Developing a career pathway in neurological physical therapy: from novice practitioner to professor including specialization
  • Asserting the expertise of physical therapy into international (neurological) disability/health policy programmes: how might we do this?
  • Next steps for the International Neurological Physical Therapy Association: capacity -building in neurosciences through world-wide networking

Keep visiting the blog often to keep updated.

Cheers

Mary
